Sloppy Mechanics Stage 1 Camshaft
Fits 1999-2013 LS Based V8 Engines 4.8L 5.3L 5.7L 6.0L 6.2L
Specs: 216/220 .560"/.560" 114 LSA 3 Bolt Pattern
The Sloppy Stage 1 Camshaft is a mid level profile, similar to most "Stage 2 Truck" camshafts. It will have a noticeable lope at Idle while not being overly aggressive. It will make great power and torque all while keeping costs low. This camshaft is a great choice for daily drivers that want a cam that will drive like stock, with the power benefits of an aftermarket cam. Great for Cars, Trucks, SUVs, Street Rods, and LS Swaps. This cam will be noticeable with aftermarket exhaust, but can be hidden with stock exhaust systems. This will work fine in automatics with a stock Stall Converter in car applications or 6.0L trucks. For 4.8/5.3L trucks a 2800rpm converter is recommended.
We offer these camshaft kits with two spring options. They include the popular PAC 1218 beehive springs as well as our own Michigan Motorsports beehive springs:
The PAC 1218 is a drop-in high performance spring kit for all OE LS cylinder heads and is rated for up to .600" lift. This spring kit reuses your factory retainers and locks, and uses the OEM tophat style valve seals. The PAC-1218's are an ovate beehive spring that has increased loads, rates and frequencies for more aggressive cams.
As an alternative, Michigan Motorsports has teamed up with a Tier 1 OEM supplier to offer high quality, durable performance beehive springs at a competitive price. These springs are a great alternative to the popular PAC 1218 and 1219 springs which have seen large price increases over recent years. They are also designed to use the factory retainers, locks and valve seals. Michigan Motorsports valve springs are a great way to save money without sacrificing quality or performance.

Note:
- VVT engines will require a VVT delete kit
- If installing in an engine originally equipped with a 1-bolt camshaft, a 3 bolt conversion kit will be required.
- DOD/AFM equipped engines will require a conversion to conventional lifters
