Once you add performance modifications to your vehicle you should have your PCM tuned. This is especially important if you have upgraded to one of our camshaft packages. Purchase our mail order tune and we will send you a questionnaire regarding the details of your vehicle including any modifications that you have done. Then you will be provided with a custom programmed PCM to match your vehicle and modifications.
Choose one of these two options-
- Send In your PCM: Remove the PCM from your vehicle and send it to us along with the completed questionnaire. Once we receive your PCM we will program it based on your vehicle and modifications. We will then ship the PCM back to you to be reinstalled into your vehicle.
- Purchase a tuned Core PCM: Fill out the questionnaire and email it to us. We will program one of our core PCMs based on your performance modifications. We will then ship the PCM to you to be installed into your vehicle. Once you install the programmed PCM you can return your old PCM for a $125 core refund. Please note that our purchased cores are not new PCMs. They are used cores that we test to be fully operational.
- Please Note: The core PCM option is not available for the following vehicles: 97-98 Corvette, 1998 Camaro, 1998 Firebird, 2005 Corvette, 2005-2006 GTO, 2005-06 Envoy & Trailblazer.
- Mail order tuning is available for customers in the continental US only.
This is the details that go into each and every calibration:
- Performance calibrations maximize performance and mileage while retaining that stock drivability.
- MAF (Mass Air Flow) and Volumetric Efficiency tables optimized.
- Air Fuel ratios optimized for wide open throttle operation
- Stoichiometric ratio set for the ethanol blended fuels that are found at the gas pumps these days.
- Timing tables carefully and efficiently calibrated for maximum performance for 87, 89 or 91-93 octane fuels. Most aggressive timing maps will be able to be calibrated when the customer uses premium fuel.
- Idle airflow, fueling, timing to name a few among other parameters will be gone through more extensively on vehicles with aftermarket internal engine mods such as camshafts for nailing down that good drivability.
- Torque management tables are relaxed. Torque management can be overly aggressive in stock form hindering performance.
- Improved throttle response from reworking a collection of different parameters within the calibration.
- Transmission calibration is completely optimized throughout. We are getting rid of those “lazy” slow shift times that can be found in stock form. Extended shift points to match the extended rpm range for vehicles with aftermarket camshafts for example. Torque converter tables optimized for aftermarket stall converters.
- Speedometer and transmission re-calibrated for aftermarket tire size and gear ratios.
- It generally takes 3-4 business days to custom program a PCM and ship it.
- Please note the following on our Core Charge Program. PCM's returned for a core refund will be tested to verify it is a good reusable core before a refund is issued. If purchasing one of our core PCM's we ensure that the PCM is fully operational but we don't guarantee the cosmetic appearance.

5.7 LS1 PCM tune
I have a new/rebuilt 5.7 LS with a Summit stage 1 .550 lift cam, 862 heads and truck injectors. 4l60e trans set up purchased from a builder. We struggled for months trying to get it to run normally. They supplied a reflashed PCM. We had hot start issues, too rich issues, etc..etc. after going back and forth for almost a year with the builder I decided to try Michigan Motorsports’ PCM mail program. WOW! It worked fantastic right out of the box! I highly recommend you give them a try! Thank you guys!!

Mail order Tune
Filled out spec sheet on my 5.3 ls build for 2006 Silverado with Truck Norris cam swap. Mailed PCM to them, and they tuned within 3 days and on the way back. Installed PCM and engine fired right up with idle around 750. Very happy with service and would recommend. Local start ups getting 400$ to buy license and guess work. Great value and quality tune.

Pcm tune
The tuned pcm I got for my chopacabra cam that I installed on my 05 chevy 1500HD 6.0 lq4 is great. Works perfect for town and highway driving or when you wanna do some pulls. Very recommended option for tuning. Will definitely be buying all my ls options from here. They really knocked it out of the park.
