This kit requires the engine block to be drilled and tapped to 1/2-13 in. thread.
ARP has released an LS stud kit that is 1/2" diameter in the block and the standard 7/16" cylinder head thread nut size at the top for help saving blocks with damaged threads. These are made from ARP2000 series material, boasting an impressive 220,000psi tensile strength to keep your head gaskets sealed under extreme pressures.
