BTR Cam Sensor to Convert 2014+ Gen V LT to Non-VVT Camshaft Sprocket
Fits 2014-Newer LT1 LT4 L83 L84 L82 L86 L87 L8B L8T
For use only with factory timing cover and BTR non-lockout camshafts
This VVT lockout kit from Brian Tooley Racing allows you to use a VVT style Gen V camshaft with an LS2 (4 Pole 3 bolt) or LS3 (4 pole single bolt) cam gear and retain the factory Gen V LT front timing cover. This creates a much more affordable and simple VVT delete kit than other options on the market that require aftermarket timing covers and custom camshafts. While this will sacrifice a small amount of low-mid range torque, you will maintain the same level of high RPM horsepower. Some wire connector trimming is required; see instructions.
For improved appearance, we also offer our Michigan Motorsports phaser solenoid delete plug as an option on this kit (not required).
IF YOU HAVE A CAMSHAFT THAT WAS DESIGNED TO BE LOCKED OUT, DO NOT USE THIS KIT!
This is designed to be used with BTR Naturally Aspirated LT VVT Camshafts, which normally call for a 4 cam degree phaser limiter. Will also work with BTR Gen V 3-Bolt Turbo Camshafts. The OEM Gen V VVT Phaser still has advance built-in from the factory when locked, so camshafts that were designed to be used with a 0* phaser limiter WILL NOT have correct timing when used with this kit. Using the incorrect timing gear will change valve timing events and may cause running issues as well as piston to valve interference. Do not use with camshafts other than the ones listed below.
Note: This setup with ONLY work with the BTR Camshafts listed below. Will not work with any camshafts that were originally designed to use a 0 degree limiter lockout, or other brands of camshafts.
