The Melling M355 Oil Pump is a stock-pressure, stock-volume replacement designed to improve upon the factory GM Gen IV LS oil pump while maintaining OEM oiling characteristics. Engineered as a direct replacement for GM part number 12571885, this pump was re-designed by Melling to better support engines equipped with Active Fuel Management (AFM) and Variable Valve Timing (VVT). With upgraded internal components, a hard coat anodized aluminum housing, and a phosphate-coated cast iron cover, the M355 delivers dependable lubrication, improved durability, and consistent oil pressure for stock replacements and rebuilds.
