Never broken in all of C5-R racing and durability testing, this high-strength Katech chain fits production sprockets for a simple upgrade. This is the exact timing chain used on the Corvette Racing C5-R, C6.R and C7.R race cars from 1997-present in the ALMS and now United Sportscar series. Also such endurance races as the 24 Hours of Le Mans and 24 Hours of Daytona. The C5-R race chain gets proprietary features over the standard IWIS aftermarket LS chain which includes "fine blanked plates" and a proprietary pin coating. This is the only chain you'll ever need, and since it fits over production sprockets its a direct replacement with no worries of clearance to your oil pump.
The camshaft sprocket in this kit is suitable for use on all 1997-2006 Gen 3 LS based engines that have the cam position sensor located in the rear of the block, as well as early LS2/LH6 24x engines that had the cam sensor located in the timing cover (2005 Corvette, 05-06 Trailblazer/Envoy, 05-06 GTO etc).
